As another winter passes in the Northwoods, Spring fever follows close behind. Cure your Spring fever with a visit to Phillips.

Whether you are an avid fisherman, camper or sports enthusiast we have you covered. The Phillips Chain of Lakes; Duroy, ELk, Long & Wilson, with surrounding lakes such as Solberg and Soo, offer fishing at its finest with bass, panfish, muskie, northern and walleye pike.

Area campgrounds and resorts abound.

Celebrate Memorial Day in May, or take in Phillips annual CzechSlovak Festival in June.







When summertime approaches the Phillips area is bursting with plenty to do. Spend an afternoon canoeing down the Flambeau River. Mountain bike trails are exceptional. If its a quick game of volleyball, softball or golf we have it.

If you need to escape the heat, take a cooling dip at our city beach or if you prefer to swim indoors our community pool with diving well and whirlpool is a must.

Fourth of July activities in Phillips include a parade at 2:00 followed by a community auction, then a live ban until the fireworks start at dusk.   In August the Price County Fair offers something for everyone.

A season of many colors and activities.

There are many exciting adventures to be experienced in the Northwoods as the leaves begin to change from shades of green to yellows, reds and oranges.

The Phillips area is home to 857,000 acres of the Chequamegon National Forest. The Flambeau River State Forest, County and other industrial lands for hunting enthusiasts. Quality hunting includes white-tailed deer, black bear and ruffed grouse.

A wide variety of outdoor activities are available including camping, fishing, ATVing, wildlife viewing, hiking and biking. A leisurely drive around the Phillips area will reveal some of the splendors of mother nature's most colorful seasons.

There are also activities for the water lovers. Fifteen miles from Phillips is the 90,000 acre Flambeau River State Forest. The Flambeau River is the perfect place for anyone wanting to "get away from it all" by canoeing down the river. There are several canoe landings and campsites for day trips or an overnight adventure.







In and around Phillips, throughout Price County, we have ten snowmobile clubs that help maintain over 550 miles of groomed trails directly accessible from Phillips and the surrounding area. With five groomers working 6-7 days a week, Phillips and Price County boast some of the best riding throughout the state. Many claim it - - We have it! Trails winding through the beautiful Chequamegon National Forest for the most spectacular ride of your life.

Cross country skiing along with snowshoeing have become popular sports and Phillips has become a destination for many people. Our trails are well groomed and lightly traveled. We have six different trail systems that keep you seeing new territory throughout your visit! Our potential is unlimited.

We have many places for you to enjoy and remember. The Northwoods is our backyard.
